A year ago, almost exactly we set off on what turned out to be one of the hardest trips we've done as a group. Walking 27 miles over two days carrying all our equipment. If that doesn't sound to bad, on the second day it had exceeded 30 degrees C by 9am! Consequently, we cancelled the trip at Hardy's Monument, about two miles into the second day.
So to this walk - The second day, we'll start from Hardy's Monument and follow the Ridgeway, past Maiden Castle and Chalbury hill forts, into Osmington Mills to finish the route we started 12 months ago.
We will get taxis back to Hardy's monument from Osmington.
The total ascent is 1560ft.
