Given all the water about, join us for a leisurely circular walk mostly on gravel but with some slippy (not sinking) mud. We’ll be following some of this historic Mill Trail: http://www.hants.gov.uk/rh/walking/mill-trail.pdf and there are a couple of pubs if we need a stop. As it’s a later start and short walk, would be good to keep moving and not stop for lunch (although there is a pub halfway - Watership Down Inn - where we may be able to eat on the sly). For those wanting to stay on in Whitchurch there is a light show and makers market at the Silk Mill that day (£7 annual ticket) and cafe (free to use without ticket): https://whitchurchsilkmill.org.uk/event/winter-lights/ .
There is a train from Basingstoke that gets in at 11:51 and from Andover it gets in at 11:54.
Whitchurch station car park is free on Sundays and there’s space for lots of cars.
