By popular request, tonight we're going to the ceilidh at Winchester Guildhall. In such a grand setting the term "barn dance" is a total misnomer, but it's the same idea. If you haven't been to one before, they're always good fun and no experience is necessary. I'll block-book tickets for anyone who reserves by Tuesday 14 May, but the organiser's advised that as it's a large venue there should still be tickets left on the night (your risk!). You can also book directly online at http://www.shocc.co.uk/, but if you do this please let me know you're coming so I can watch out for you. Standard price is £12 but it's £8 for students and £6 for children. You can pay on the door whether you've pre-booked or not. There's a licensed bar available, so please don't bring your own drinks. Make sure you wear something light and comfortable (you will get warm!), and I suggest trainers or similar. The dances go on till 23:30. Let me know if you have any queries.
