Linear walk starting at Woolston railway station. We will head south and along Weston Shore. Just prior to Netley we will make a stop at Netley Abbey, a ruined medieval monastery (free entry). Continuing east we will stop at the Chapel of the demolished Royal Victoria Hospital (Ground floor exhibition free). Heading east again we will stop at the Quay in Hamble. Finally, we head north to Bursledon station. Optional drink at the Jolly Sailor. Drivers can park for free at Bursledon station and get the train to Woolston. There is chargeable parking at Woolston station and the surrounding area.
