We're taking an opportunity to sneak across the border into Wiltshire for a scenic 12 mile walk which is steeped in history. We'll start on top of Pepperbox hill, then walk north to skirt East Grinstead, before some forest walking to West Dean. We'll climb Dean Hill before lunch. After lunch we head south for Whiteparish, before heading back to Pepperbox Hill.

: From the M27, take the A36 towards Salisbury. The Pepperbox is signposted on the right (it's just north of WhiteParish), but it's a horrible turning coming from the south. I suggest you carry on to Whaddon and turn right to get on the A36 again heading south. It's then the second lane on the left.
