A circular walk in the South Downs. Starting from Harting Down we'll initially follow the South Downs way up Beacon Hill from which on a clear day you can see across to the Solent. We'll continue along the South Downs Way passing the Devil's Jumps. We'll turn off the South Downs Way and go along the western edge of West Dean Woods. There is a short section on a country lane and then we'll head back along foot paths to Harting Down. We'll have a lunch stop part way round. It is likely to be muddy in places. There are a few short but steep hills along the route.

: The car park is at the top of a hill on the B2141.
The car park is free for National Trust members or £3 a day for non-members paid via PaybyPhone. Signal is not always good in the car park so I recommend downloading PaybyPhone before or the national trust website advises you can pay by 11pm on the same day.
